Resale prices in mature and non-mature HDB areas rose by 0.7 per cent and 0.5 per cent respectively in March compared to the previous month, according to estimates from SRX and 99.co, the real estate market trading networks.
Resale prices for both five-bedroom and condominium HDB flats rose by 1.3 per cent, while four-bedroom HDB flats rose by 0.5 per cent. Resale prices for three-bedroom HDB flats fell slightly by 0.3 per cent.
Compared to the same period last year, the overall resale price of HDB flats rose by 8.3% last month.
In terms of transaction volume, an estimated 2,287 units were sold last month, a jump of about 24% from the previous month and a slight increase of 0.8% year-on-year.
A total of 39 HDB flats were sold for at least a million dollars last month, 15 more than the previous month. In Toa Payoh alone, as many as eight units were sold for more than a million dollars. The highest-priced transaction last month was a five-bedroom flat in a Starhill HDB flat, which changed hands for $1.4 million.
