The HDB said in a press release that the two 99-year lease lots are located on Tampines Road 11 and Plantation Close in Tengah.

Among them, the lot on Tampines 11 Road can be built as a mixed-use commercial and residential project.

The lot at Plantation Close will be used for the development of executive PR apartments, with a total of approximately 1,685 residential units to be built on both lots.

To encourage developers to adopt innovative building technologies and productivity-enhancing construction models, HDB will pilot a new bidding system for the Executive Condominium project at Plantation Lane.

Under the new bidding system, developers will be required to submit bids for prefabricated, pre-assembled modular buildings, but will also have the option to submit an additional, alternative proposal that does not incorporate prefabricated, pre-assembled modular buildings, but will improve construction efficiency. Developers must also demonstrate the feasibility of the building option.

A concept evaluation committee led by the Construction Authority will assess whether the alternative proposal can meet the productivity improvement requirements and achieve the same level as the prefabricated pre-assembled modular building model before it will be included in the qualified bids.

Bidding for both lots will close at 12 noon on June 27 next year.
