According to the latest data released by real estate websites 99.co and SRX, resale prices rose 0.5 percent this October compared to the previous month, with resale prices in established areas rising 1.3 percent and resale prices in immature areas remaining unchanged.
Compared with the same period last year, the whole flat resale price rose by 10.8% last month.
In terms of transaction volume, a total of 1,965 homes changed hands in HDB last month, a decrease of 24.1% from the previous month and 21.6% from the same period last year.
Analysts attribute the drop in transaction volume to the high median resale price of HDB condominiums, leading some buyers to adopt a wait-and-see attitude.
In addition, the highest resale price last month was for a five-bedroom unit at the Peak and a private unit at Toa Payoh, which sold for $1.38 million.
A total of 40 condominiums sold for millions of dollars in October, down slightly from 45 units the previous month.
