Estimates published by real estate websites 99.co and SRX showed that private flat rents rose 0.3 per cent month-on-month in June, while year-on-year they were 24 per cent higher.
Flat rents in the core Central District rose by 0.8 per cent, while those in the non-core Central District and outside the Central District increased by 0.6 per cent and 0.2 per cent month-on-month.
An estimated 5,810 flat units were rented last month, up 12.5 per cent month-on-month and down almost 4 per cent year-on-year.
For the HDB market, overall rents rose 1.4 per cent month-on-month last month and climbed 24.6 per cent year-on-year. Rentals for all types of HDB flats rose, with monthly increases ranging from 0.2 per cent to 2.2 per cent.
An estimated 2,990 HDB flats were rented last month, a 4.6 per cent increase from the previous month.
