Abstract: The Ministry of National Development will continue to ensure that HDB flats are available and affordable to all.

Following President Halima's policy address, various government departments announced more concrete plans through the Policy Address Addendum.

In the Policy Address Addendum, National Development Minister Lee Chee San said that about 40,000 housing units will be completed this year and the number will reach almost 100,000 by 2025.

The authorities will continue to maintain a steady supply of HDB flats, while adjusting policies where necessary to ensure the stability and sustainability of the property market.

Next, the authorities will continue to make the country a vibrant and inclusive green city.

The authorities will transform the southern waterfront area and build a sustainable new township on the site of the relocated Paya Lebar airbase.

The authorities will also plan ahead and be more flexible and selective in the use of land so that they can respond more quickly in times of crisis.
