With the completion of these 15 projects, HDB has completed 66 delayed projects, equivalent to 72% of all delayed projects. HDB aims to complete the remaining delayed projects within the next one and a half years, by early 2025 at the latest.

The number of HDB projects and flats completed in the first half of this year was the highest among the same period since 2018, the HDB's missive issued on Sunday (July 16) noted. The number of projects completed up to the end of June this year is more than double that of the same period last year.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Singapore's Minister for National Development, Lee Chi-sing, said that building HDB flats is a complex task in the first place, and the task is even more complex when it comes to building HDB flats in developed lots.

Despite this, HDB is on track to hand over the keys to 20,000 flats in 22 new HDB projects to homeowners this year. "We will continue to do our best to deliver new HDB flats on time and meet the strong public demand for HDB flats."
