In a written reply to a Member of Parliament query, Minister for National Development Lee Chi-sing said 72 per cent of the affected HDB projects have been completed and of the 71,000 affected buyers, 49,000 have been invited to collect their keys or have already collected their keys.
For the 28 per cent of HDB projects that are still under construction due to delays caused by the outbreak, a total of about 22,000 buyers are affected and will receive their keys by 2025 or earlier.
Temporary accommodation has also been arranged for those affected by the delay in the completion of HDB flats.
The Minister also said that a small number of homebuyers affected by the delay in the delivery date of their pre-purchased HDB flats will also be compensated up to the corresponding maximum amount under the Coronation (Temporary Assistance Measures) Act.
