The historic Katong Shopping Centre is back on the market for a collective sale, with an indication price of $638 million and a land price equivalent to $2,277 per square foot.
This is the fourth time Katong Shopping Centre has been collectively sought for sale. The previous three were in 2016 and 2017, and this April.
Edmund Tie, of Y.C. Dai Industries, who is in charge of this collective sale program, said that the Katong Shopping Centre has an area of 86,924 square feet, with two of its sides fronting on Mountbatten Road and Haig Road.
The freehold project encompasses a seven-storey and a five-storey building with 425 split-level storefront and office units, as well as a private parking garage; the total gross floor area is about 280,000 square feet with a plot ratio of 3.223.
According to the Urban Redevelopment Authority's 2019 Master Development Blueprint, the Katong Shopping Center is listed as a mixed-use development combining commercial and serviced residential uses.
Interested developers have until 3 p.m. on the 14th of next month to make an offer.
