A freehold house in Bride's Ridge sold for $19 million, 17.4 per cent below the asking price.
The house was put on the market for tender in December last year and was awarded to ABN Holding at a price equivalent to $1,210 per square foot.
When asked, PropNex, the company responsible for the sale of the single-storey detached house, said it could not disclose whether ABN Holding was the highest bidder for confidentiality reasons.
The house is located in Clifton Vale in the Blythe Ridge area and is 15,705 square feet in size.
In a statement, Bona Real Estate's Director of Quality Housing, Mr Lim Joon Kheng, said that owners of private land in Clifton Vale do not sell their homes easily. The lot can be divided into three small lots to build three separate houses, subject to approval from the authorities.
According to the Urban Redevelopment Authority, the price of private landed homes continued to rise by 9.6 per cent last year, following a 13.3 per cent increase in 2021.
Mr Lam said prices were expected to remain resilient this year, as demand for private land was stable.
