Abstract: The latest Public Sector Performance Review (PSPR) shows that Singapore continues to maintain a high level of livability while moving towards its zero carbon emissions target, with more than 2,900 government HDB flats already fitted with solar panels.

In its biennial Public Sector Performance Review, the Ministry of Finance also noted that the country has set a target of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and is making good progress with the initiatives it has taken.

The Ministry of Finance said that these solar panels installed in government HDB flats can provide clean energy to power about 32,000 four-room HDB flats.

In terms of transportation, by 2021, more than three-quarters of the country's peak hour trips will be made by walking, cycling or taking public transport.

We also continue to maintain a high standard of livability, bringing affordable and convenient housing to our people, with 80% of our residents living in government HDB flats and 90% of them being homeowners.

In terms of green environment, more than 450,000 trees have been planted locally under the Million Tree Campaign.

Green spaces and nature are also easily accessible to the nation, with 93% of households within a 10-minute walk of a park.

Satisfaction with the cleanliness of public transportation and public spaces also remains high, at 92% for both.
