Abstract: A total of 12,000 flats in 16 pre-purchase HDB projects were completed in the first half of this year, the highest number of flats and projects completed in the same period in five years.

The HDB also said that about 200 homeowners will be compensated an average of about $3,000 each, totaling about $600,000, for the delayed completion of the Anchorvale Village project in Sengkang due to the coronary disease outbreak.

HDB issued a notice saying that the completion of five of its pre-purchase HDB projects had been delayed due to the outbreak, including the Anchorvale Village project in Sengkang. This project was originally scheduled for completion in the first half of last year, but was delayed due to manpower shortage and supply chain blockage.

It is also one of the two pre-purchased HDB projects that were delivered after the statutory deadline of January this year, and affected homeowners are eligible for compensation under the Interim Measures for Coronary Diseases Act. The other project that has been delayed for more than a year is Waterway Sunrise II, a pre-purchase HDB flat in Punggol.

HDB said more than 70% of the projects with delayed works due to the outbreak have been completed and delivered. The authority aims to complete all delayed projects within 18 months, by early 2025.
