  • HDB flats for rent
Abstract: If the rental is less than ideal, it is likely to take more extra time and effort to fix it, which can interfere with school or work.

Number of Tenants

It is Singapore's policy that the total number of people in a whole set of HDB flats, including condominiums and row houses, cannot exceed 6, and violators will be heavily penalized.

Living Conditions

Landlords are responsible for proactively reporting tenant information to the government, and tenants are required to ask their landlords for assistance in doing so.

Singapore also has certain restrictions on the houses that are allowed to be rented out. Individual landlords who do not report for convenience will be heavily fined if they are caught.

Rental Period

Short term rentals are prohibited in Singapore. The minimum rental period is 3 months for apartments and 6 months for HDB flats.

Age Restrictions

The person signing the housing agreement must be at least 18 years of age and those under 18 must be signed by a guardian or guarantor.

There are three types of housing in Singapore.

HDB flats, condominiums and row houses.

Government HDB flats are known as HDB in Singapore and many of them are very conveniently located near MRT, bus stops, neighborhood malls, stalls, etc.

However, condominiums will be old in design and without much decoration.

The master room is a room with its own bathroom. The regular room needs to share the bathroom with other tenants of this suite. A maid's room may be a small room without a window, or a cubicle, or someone may even take out a storage room and rent it as a maid's room.

Condos are the most mainstream rental option in the market, with many rooms available and nice decorations.

There are security guards at the entrance of the apartments, and there are facilities such as a swimming pool, gym and tennis courts inside, which are free for residents to use.

As a tenant, there is no need to pay additional property management fees. If you like sports, it is very good to choose a condominium in Singapore.

Most of the row houses are shared by local families in Singapore and have more space, so there are not many of them for rent in the market.

Most of the row houses are block type and hardly built near MRT stations, which makes the transportation relatively unfriendly.
